OMFJamesRandi, I am running behind on Friday's poetry. I don't even know what I'm gonna use yet. I don't even have it written. Let's do this Johnny Blue Jeans-style and do it at the last minute. I was thinking earlier today about sestinas (sestinae?) and thought - as I often do, and without provocation - about how repetitive they are. Synonyms, I thought. Instead of using the same word over and over (which I don't do anyway because I'm one of the original bad boys of poetry,) we use synonyms. Could maybe get some sort of rhyme scheme out of it, I don't know. All I know is the name: syntina.
Oh, heck yeah.
